Mom-On-The-Go {Vacation}

I’m off on vacation this week! YEAH! I love vacation time. When we were kids my parents made sure that every year they took me and my sister on a vacation in the summer. It was a wonderful time to connect as a family and usually there was no fighting! HAHA! We always had the BEST time!

Now its my turn to develop that same tradition with the hubby and kiddos. Some traditions are just meant to keep alive and this is certainly one of them! {smiling from ear to ear}

However, {uh oh that doesn’t sound good…} getting ready to leave isn’t always a treat. Far from it. My husband works long, difficult hours. This usually means I have to get e.v.e.r.y.t.h.i.n.g. ready to go including packing, children, food, shopping. It’s not normally a pretty site. LOL! And for some reason and for some time I thought I was the only woman who did this! Which is really funny look back on it now.

Well, guess what, I’m not the only woman who takes care of getting her family ready to go on a vacation or trip. There are LOTS of women who do this. And now that I know that my perspective has change {drastically} and getting ready is much, much, much better. Funny thing how that happens.

So if I had one piece of advice for you… it would be to do the work with a smile {or as much as possible}. It doesn’t matter who does the work because at least in this situation the outcome is a vacation! Enjoy it from start to finish! Enjoy making memories that your family will long remember!
